Because who needs haunted houses, when your own brain is the one doing the haunting 👻
It’s spooky season. The pumpkins are out, the candles are flickering, and your brain?
Oh, it’s thriving. Every tiny thought suddenly turns into a full blown horror movie:
“What if everyone secretly hates me?”
“Did I embarrass myself in that meeting?”
“Remember that weird thing you said in 2019?”
💀 Meet the Monsters
-
The Ghost of Self Doubt
She’s been haunting you since middle school. Pops up whenever you do something mildly brave like speak up in a meeting or post a selfie. She whispers, “You’re not that great,” then vanishes into thin air, leaving you questioning everything.
Spoiler: She lies. Constantly.

The Vampire of Comparison
Lurks on social media, sucking the confidence out of your feed. Someone’s on vacation? Bite. Someone got a promotion? Bite. The cure? Step into the sunlight, touch some grass, and remember you’re not behind.
Spoiler: You can’t (and don’t want to) live everyone else’s life.
🕯️ How to Survive Spooky Emotions
1. Name the Monster:
When your thoughts start spiraling, say it out loud: “My brain’s being dramatic again.” It immediately takes away the jump-scare factor.
2. Check the Script:
Ask yourself: “Is this fact or fiction?” Nine times out of ten, your brain’s writing fanfiction based on zero evidence.

Your brain is creative, clever, and a little chaotic. But it’s not always telling the truth 🎃
So this Halloween, when your brain starts spinning horror stories, think: “Cute. Try harder.”
