Setting the Tone Before the Holiday Season Chaos

Setting the Tone Before the Holiday Season Chaos

Posted by Feelings Found on

Because nothing says “holiday cheer” like crying into a mug of eggnog before Thanksgiving 🥴

It’s already almost November.

You’re just settling into pumpkin spice mode when your brain decides to start panicking.

But before you spiral into a glitter-and-tinsel-induced meltdown, there’s one thing you can do: set the emotional foundation now.

Why Grounding Is Non-Negotiable

The holidays are magical, yes.

But they also bring drama, family weirdness, and social obligations that nothing can ever prepare us for. Even if it does happen every year like clockwork.

Simple Ways to Ground Yourself Before the Chaos

  1. Five Senses Check-In

Name 5 things you see, 4 things you feel, 3 things you hear, 2 things you smell, 1 thing you taste. Boom… Instant “I got this.”

  2. Movement Meditation

Stretch, yoga, dance like no one’s watching, shake that stress out of your shoulders.

  3. Mindful Journaling

Write down your feelings first and your shopping list second. Trust us, dumping the mental baggage on paper is cheaper than therapy (sort of).

The holidays will be busy and chaotic. That’s a fact.

But how you enter the season is in your control.
